William Morgan Evan alias Hugh Lloyd, on 1 March 1754 in the parish of Llowes

with a certain Iron Pin of value twopence which he held in his right hand and upon the head of Margaret, wife of Henry Probert did strike giving her several mortal wounds and bruises and she instantly died (WALES 4/522/6). He was ordered to be hanged on Wednesday 10 April and his body afterwards to be hanged in chains near the place where the murder was committed (WALES 14/24).
